Food Packing Support
The Grand Rapids Farmers Market is seeking volunteers to support its Local Food Purchase Assistance program.
Help ensure fresh, locally grown food reaches community members by assisting with unloading products from producers' vehicles, assembling 60 food boxes, weighing and bagging produce, packing meat and eggs in insulated bags, ensuring all products are included in the boxes, and loading boxes for delivery.
This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact while working alongside others who care about food access and community well-being.
Volunteers are needed Thursday, April 16, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church.
