Delivering Meals to Seniors with Meals on Wheels
Do you want to help others but only have minimal time to commit? Meals on Wheels needs you!
Meals on Wheels is looking for reliable volunteers, with a valid drivers license, to deliver meals to seniors in need. The Meals on Wheels program provides hot, nutritious, home-delivered meals for seniors age 60 and older who are home-bound and unable to prepare their own meals.
Details: Meals are delivered within the Grand Rapids city limits. Drivers must have a car and valid drivers license. Meals to be delivered are picked up at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital at 10:15AM. Instruction and introduction to the program is provided by a seasoned volunteer driver. Deliveries take about 1 hour to complete.
