2023 Run for Hunger 5K
The 1st Annual Run for Hunger 5k Run/Walk will take place Saturday August 12, 2023. This is a fundraising event which benefits the Second Harvest North Central Food Bank.
Did you know:
One in 6 children in the region are food insecure
The goal of the Child Hunger Program is to address food insecurity for children living in north-central Minnesota. With the help of volunteers, school staff, and Second Harvest employees, each school will put together food orders based on their specific goals and needs. Some schools serve hundreds of children, mostly providing snacks and occasional emergency food for families. Other schools serve fewer children but distribute more food by sending home bags of groceries.
Official results and age division awards will be based on your Chip time.
Age Divisions are as follows:
0-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-100
Race Day Volunteers:
Pre Race Day: packet stuffing and packet pickup (10)
Prep and distribute water at the water station (4)
Registration (4)
Distribute, prep food, and water at the finish line (2)
Parking lot attendees (2)
General clean up post race (4)
