Learn to Ride Coach

Learn to Ride volunteers, or "coaches," are integral to Mount Itasca's programming. Coaches work with young riders and skiers to improve skills, make new friends, and improve their ski or snowboarding skills in this safe and fun learning environment. From helping youth (in first - sixth grades) strap into their bindings for the first time to helping them gain confidence on the slopes, volunteer coaches play an important role in helping youth develop a love for winter recreation.

The Learn to Ride program takes place annually in February, with sessions taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. 2023 sessions start Tuesday, February 7th.

Volunteers earn a free lift ticket each day they are scheduled to volunteer, as well as other fantastic perks based on the number of volunteer hours worked.
