Blood Drive
Blood donors are needed every day to sustain a safe and adequate supply of blood for those who need it. In the wake of COVID-19, blood supplies are at a critical low, threatening the ability of medical facilities to be properly prepared for emergencies.
In order to help our community meet this need, United Way has partnered with Memorial Blood Centers to host a blood drive prior this January! Each blood donor will receive free COVID-19 antibody testing, making this a great way to give back and help the overall health of our community. Blood donation is open to people 16 years of age and older. Donors under the age of 17 must submit a waiver signed by a parent or guardian in order to donate. To receive a printable waiver, email the opportunity coordinator.

Memorial Blood Centers has implemented additional precautionary measures to ensure a safe donation environment, requiring all donors to wear a mask and have their temperature taken upon arrival. Donors can save time by filling out the pre-screening questionnaire at mbc.org/idonate before their appointment.
